In this role, you will: 

The Account Executive is responsible for consulting and selling OpenTable products to restaurants, with a focus on bringing new restaurants onto the OpenTable dining network. Acting as a business leader and sales expert, they will handle and own their book of business/territory.

This individual will proactively target and identify restaurants within an assigned territory, develop strategic plans, implement outreach, conduct business meetings with restaurant owners/operators, and close deals based on varying needs.

This role is Minnesota based with a preference for someone living in Minneapolis or Saint Paul.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Prospect, identify, and sell OpenTable products to restaurants within an assigned territory, including existing restaurants and soon-to-open concepts.

This individual should be familiar with the geography and hospitality ecosystem in Minnesota with a hyper focus on the restaurant landscape in Minneapolis/Saint Paul.

Develop and implement a strategic plan for the territory, including building reliable sales forecasts and generating business plans to define selling strategies and tactics.

Conduct in-person and online customized demos of OpenTable products.

Challenge customers to think differently about their business and strategically overcome objections.

Educate operators about industry trends and standard processes.

Nurture and build upon existing relationships to serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

Apply customer feedback to continually evolve the sales process and improve the product.

Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly acquisition targets.

Use Salesforce to own the territory, stay organized, forecast sales activity, and process contracts.

Provide customer feedback to the Product and Marketing teams.

Stay updated on product and technology developments within OpenTable and the hospitality industry.

Participate in councils and/or mentorship programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

High-reaching, tenacious, and results-driven individual.

Self-motivated and able to perform well under pressure and against ambitious goals and deadlines.

Skilled at communicating new perspectives to customers that reframe and challenge their perspective on their business.

Knowledgeable about the restaurant industry and able to discuss customer issues from multiple dimensions.

Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Ability to drive business value during sales engagements.

Highly analytical with the ability to assess business opportunities and understand prospective buyers.

Interest in gathering and using data to advise decision-making and persuade others.

Capable of developing compelling strategies that deliver results.

Strong negotiating skills.

Preferred: Restaurant management and/or sales experience.

Strong attention to detail in administrative responsibilities.

Strong PC skills and overall technical proficiency.

Capacity to grasp and learn complex concepts quickly and independently.

Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Proven experience of at least 5 years in sales and/or the restaurant industry.

This role will require local travel.

Ineligible for equity:

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus. 

The salary for this United States-based role is within the range of $60,000-$65,000, which may vary depending on factors such as external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, the position is eligible for additional compensation and benefits.
