Sales Support Specialist

Position Summary

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for supporting Agent Relationship Managers and the broader sales team by assisting with agent requests, case preparation, illustrations, and day-to-day sales support activities. This role helps ensure agents receive timely, accurate, and high-quality service, enabling Agent Relationship Managers to focus on relationship building and growth. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Team Support

  • Provide day-to-day support to Agent Relationship Managers in servicing agent needs
  • Assist with follow-ups, task management, and coordination of sales-related activities
  • Help manage agent requests to ensure timely and accurate responses

Illustrations & Quote Preparation

  • Prepare product illustrations and quotes across multiple carriers based on agent requests
  • Ensure accuracy of inputs and alignment with case details and objectives
  • Provide comparisons and options to support agent decision-making

Case Preparation & Submission Support

  • Assist in gathering required information and documentation for new applications
  • Help prepare cases for submission by ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinate with new business teams to facilitate smooth case handoff

Agent Communication & Service

  • Respond to agent inquiries regarding products, processes, and case status
  • Provide clear and professional communication in support of the sales team
  • Deliver a high level of responsiveness and service to agents

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with new business, underwriting, contracting, and service teams
  • Help route requests and information to appropriate departments
  • Ensure alignment and follow-through on agent needs and case requirements

Data Management & CRM Support

  • Maintain accurate records of agent interactions, requests, and case activity
  • Update CRM and internal systems with relevant sales and case information
  • Ensure data integrity and proper documentation

Marketing & Sales Enablement Support

  • Assist in distributing marketing materials, product updates, and sales resources
  • Support coordination of webinars, training sessions, and agent communications
  • Help ensure agents have access to tools and materials needed for success

Issue Resolution & Follow-Up

  • Identify and address routine issues or delays impacting agent requests
  • Follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely completion
  • Escalate complex or high-priority issues to Agent Relationship Managers as needed

Process Improvement & Efficiency

  • Identify opportunities to streamline sales support processes and workflows
  • Assist in implementing tools or best practices to improve efficiency
  • Contribute to a team environment focused on continuous improvement
