Key responsibilities
As a Sales Specialist in the process industry (chemicals, pharma, life sciences, F&B), you act as a central interface between customers and the technical departments of our company. Your main task is to maintain existing customer relationships, build new customer relationships and strategically expand them through the sale of our innovative process automation solutions. You work daily to achieve qualitative and quantitative sales targets, thereby contributing significantly to our success.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Technical & Commercial Consulting: Analyzing existing business processes at customer locations to identify optimization opportunities through our automation solutions. You demonstrate which specific solutions can increase efficiency for our customers.
Project & Sales Management: Guiding the entire sales process from initial needs analysis through proposal and concept development to successful contract closure. This includes negotiating contracts and terms.
Relationship Management: Proactively managing and strategically developing existing and new customer relationships to ensure long-term loyalty and maximize customer satisfaction.
Revenue Responsibility: Identifying new business opportunities within the existing portfolio (cross-selling and upselling).
Market & Competitive Analysis: Analyzing market trends and competitive activities to adjust your market strategy accordingly and provide customer feedback internally.
Internal Coordination: Close collaboration with technical teams (Bid & Proposal, Operations, Service) to ensure that proposed solutions are technically feasible and meet customer requirements.
You will become part of an engaged, innovative, and ambitious team that challenges you and provides space for your personal and professional development.
Qualifications for the role
You have successfully completed a technical degree in automation technology, or an equivalent technician or master craftsman qualification.
You have several years of experience in selling automation solutions in the process industry, ideally with experience in project business.
You are passionate about technical topics and details and are characterized by high customer and goal orientation.
You communicate confidently in German and English and are skilled in negotiating both verbally and in writing.
You are willing to travel within Germany.
