Scope of Role: DBC Sales Specialist is responsible for leading, planning, training, and selling DBC Brands/Programs to retailers and sales team in a specific Market/Territory.
This role ensures delivery and execution in alignment with DBC business objectives within top 100 accounts representing 25% of business.
The role is primarily field based calling on both on and off premise trade channels, working with our Distributor Partners and third party Enthuse Field Sales Teams.

o Drive strong execution via distribution & display sales.
· Distributor Engagement
o Working with and relationship building with our Distributors to drive growth
· P&L Management
Key Responsibilities
· Create and build relationships with top 100 combined Chain, Independent and On-Premise Accounts to ensure delivery of Diageo Beer Company business objectives.
· Communicate monthly program calendar and drive execution on programming within distributor sales teams both on and off premise.
· Analyze on/off-premise channels within territory to effectively plan and execute promotional activities.
· Assist DM with distributor general sales meetings and weekly team meetings.
· Management of tactical budgets
· Work collaboratively with DM 60 days in advance to agree upon targets and objectives.
· In trade days expected minimum 3 days per week. Potentially nights and weekends for events.
· Work in field with third party Inspira field sales.
· Work in field with Distributor sales teams.
· Work in field with DM and independently.
· Individual must be organized and initiative-taking.
Key Outputs:
· Daily/Weekly account level Pre Plans
· Develop account level goals for distribution, displays and programming activity.
· Develop and deliver the Guinness Quality and rate of sale programs in the On Premise
· Influence and motivate wholesalers to execute against the key sales drivers by brand for the assigned territory.
· Assist in the planning and execution of kick-off meetings for innovation and programming initiatives as needed
· Analyze on/off premise channels within territory to effectively plan and execute promotional activities
· Identify local growth opportunities that tie into the monthly IBO’s
· Provide grounded market insights including industry dynamics and competitive information
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Must be a self-starter with a proven track record in influencing others with the use of fact-based selling.
Must be well organized and possess the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives. Able to generate ideas to develop the market.
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· Field sales experience preferred.
· Ability to engage, influence, and coordinate retailers and wholesaler who may have different strategic initiatives.
· Must be a self-starter with a proven track record in influencing others with the use of fact-based selling.
· Must be well organized and possess the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives. Able to generate ideas to develop the market.
· Experience with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, VIP & Nielsen
Knowledge:
Tier 1/major market wholesaler management; consumer need states; retail sales in chain grocery, independent liquor and on-premises; thorough understanding of wholesaler operations; proven influencing skills. Thorough understanding of competitive activity, market dynamics, and quality standards. Understanding and application of data analysis. Uses and executes metrics to measure performance Skills:
