Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Sales Cloud Solution Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the technical aspects of AWS products and be able to provide expert guidance to our sales team during the pre-sales process.
As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect you will be responsible for providing presale support to our clients, including demonstrations, documentation, proof-of-concept presentations, and other technical materials. You will also work closely with our delivery and sales teams to ensure that client requirements are fully understood and integrated.
As a trusted customer advocate, the Pre-Sales Cloud Solution Architect helps customers work with AWS cloud in adopting advanced cloud-based solutions and migrating existing on-premise workloads to the cloud. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS technologies.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration with the sales and account manages to identify and understand customer needs, pain points, and business objectives
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, demonstrating a deep understanding of AWS services, cloud architectural best practices, and migration strategies
- Design and develop innovative cloud solutions tailored to meet customers needs, considering cloud best practices
- Conduct and lead technical presentations to showcase the value and capabilities of AWS cloud solutions
- Prepare and deliver proposals, technical documentation, and presentations that effectively communicate solution architectures to clients
- Collaborate with internal teams, including solution architects, DevOps, project managers, to ensure seamless transition from pre-sales to post-sales
Requirements
Summary of Requirements & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years enterprise IT application experience that includes at least 10 years of hands-on software development, DevOps engineering, systems administration, or systems architecture in a cloud environment
- Well-rounded knowledge of systems, network, security, storage, cloud products and technologies in differing environments
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
- Demonstrated ability to architect and implement solutions on AWS
- Significant experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, networking and security
- History of successful technical consulting and architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools (CDK preferred, or Terraform, Cloudformation)
- AWS Certified Solution Architect - Professional
Certifications Preferred
- AWS Certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- AWS Certification: AWS Certified Devops – Professional
- AWS Certification: AWS Certified SysOps Admin - Associate
- AWS Certification: AWS Certified Developer - Associate
- Two or more AWS specialty certifications (network, security, AI/ML, etc)
Advantages
- Technical degree; B.Sc Computer Science is highly desired, Master degree preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise-scale distributed applications using modern software development practices and technologies is highly desired
