PURPOSE

The Sales Program Manager is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships through exceptional service, strategic account management, and business development. This role is responsible for visiting customers, identifying new business opportunities, forecasting customer demand, and supporting long-term sales growth. The Sales Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact for contract customers, managing long-term agreements, order releases, deliveries, quotations, and customer communications throughout the order fulfillment process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND IMPORTANCE OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage customer inquiries, quotations, orders, deliveries, and communications throughout the order fulfillment process.
  • Forecast customer demand, identify growth opportunities, explore new markets, and monitor competitive activity to support strategic sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing team to improve inventory management and forecasting tools.
  • Maintain and update customer databases and customer portals as required.
  • Promote new products and value-added services to existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop pricing for stock inventory items and cut-to-size products.
  • Accurately enter quotations and sales orders into the ERP system.
  • Source non-stock (buyout) materials to meet customer requirements.
  • Expedite and monitor customer orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Represent Future Metals during customer visits, trade shows, conferences, and through professional social media engagement.
  • Travel up to 30% as required to support customer and business development activities.
  • Communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and support sales growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales, account management, customer service, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience within metals distribution, aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial distribution is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages are an asset.

  • Attendance & Reliability – Maintains regular attendance and punctuality while ensuring responsibilities are fulfilled.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position safely and effectively.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and meet the performance expectations of the role.
  • Ability to perform light physical work, including occasionally lifting up to 10 kg (22 lbs).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
