About The Role

Morningstar is seeking an analytical, enthusiastic, and dynamic candidate to join our Managed Portfolio Sales team in the role of Sales Operations Analyst. The successful candidate will report to and work alongside the Head of National Sales - Managed Portfolios to improve sales team effectiveness.

This role is ideal for a technologically savvy professional with 2-3 years of experience in sales operations, business analytics, or sales support. You are naturally curious, data-driven, and energised by finding smarter ways to work, using technology and AI to turn insights into action and help a high-performing sales team deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Performance, Reporting & Analytics

  • Uplift and maintain sales and marketing dashboards to facilitate management reporting.
  • Oversee the governance of Sales AUM and platform data to maintain data integrity and reporting accuracy.
  • Manage distribution lists for sales campaigns.

2. CRM, Sales Enablement & Process Excellence

  • Uplift and maintain CRM data quality.
  • Manage CRM integration with systems and sales tools.
  • Document and continuously improve sales workflows.

3. Operational Support

  • Coordinate and represent the sales team in internal operational forums.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to coordinate branded content requests.
  • Manage updates, execution and maintenance of client agreements.

4. Business Operations, Governance & Project Coordination

  • Support the Head of Sales to drive adoption of AI tools to enhance efficiency, reporting quality and sales productivity.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders on operational and business matters.
  • Coordinate client RFP responses.

5. Content Management & Presentation Support

  • Update standard sales presentations.
  • Support the development of market and product communications.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance of external-facing content.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • 2-3 years' experience in a Sales Operations, Business Administration, Client Services, Business Analytics, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI and technology to improve processes, automate workflows, and deliver practical business solutions will be highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and maintaining high standards of data quality and governance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience developing reporting, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams.
  • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving capability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience within a financial advice business, investment management firm, or broader financial services business.

Skills Required
