Job Description

Sales development and product marketing:
- Identify potential partner salespeople to motivate them engaging in selling credit insurance by visiting partner branches, sub-branches to provide trainings.
- Support and drive partner sales to generate qualified sales leads and support them to walk through the whole selling process to close the deals.
- Support and drive key brokers to prospect for potential new clients within the allocated sales area.
- Explore and develop new sales channels like local brokers/in-house brokers, industry associations to expand sales network and relationship with SOEs and Chinese large enterprises.
- Keep frequent sales activities by making telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to brokers, partners and prospects, etc.
- Prepare sales proposals for brokers/clients with the collaboration of internal stakeholders: risk underwriters, EIC, CUW, top management,etc.
- Prepare regular forecasts to enable effective sales planning.
- Ensure that the sales potential is fully exploited to achieve annual sales targets.
- Collaborate with partner and marketing to hold marketing events in the allocated sales area.

Negotiation, follow-up, reporting:
- Personally contact brokers/partners and secure new business accounts/customers.
- Lead the commercial negotiation with brokers/partners up to the signature of contractual documents.
- Monitor feedback from brokers/clients to measure their satisfaction with company products and services.
- Maintain all required records of sales and any other relevant information to enable performance to be measured and monitored.
- Demonstrate products and services to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
- Expedite the resolution of Brokers and customer problems and complaints.

Market monitoring:
- Conduct research to identify market trends, sales and other developments amongst competitors and report back to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Suggest improvements or modifications required to existing products to maintain their competitiveness in the market.

Communication:
- Establish and maintain communication links with other internal departments to identify all sales opportunities.
- Develop, maintain and lever strong relationships with intermediaries in order to increase the number of prospects.
- Participate in external events organised within the sales area representing the company in the best light for building new business contacts.
- Work closely with the Commercial Support Functions to ensure a timely and efficient service to clients and brokers.
- Participate in trade shows, conventions and professional associations.

Risk & Compliance:
- Ensure prudent Commercial Underwriting of Credit Insurance Business, adhering to Group Standards.
- Take joint ownership of the loss ratio on the portfolio with the Risk department and deliver a profitable result to the business.
- Adhere to compliance standards set by Coface and external regulators. 

Qualifications

- Degree educated in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking or equivalent.

- At least 5 years of sales within credit insurance industry.

- Multicultural/international corporate environment: previous experience in Foreign Invested Enterprises will be a plus.

Skills Required

  • Degree educated in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of sales experience in the credit insurance industry
  • Experience in a multicultural/international corporate environment, preferably with Foreign Invested Enterprises
