About the role
As our Sales Manager – Separation Technologies, you will lead the BU sales team across Oceania and take ownership of our growth strategy. This is a rare leadership opportunity offering:

While based in Hamilton, the role includes travel across Australia and New Zealand, working closely with customers, partners, and your experienced internal support network. In this role, you will:
Drive Sales Strategy & Growth
- Define and implement growth strategies for Separation Technologies across Oceania
- Lead business planning, business reviews, forecasting, and market analysis
- Strengthen customer relationships and showcase the value of Alfa Laval innovations
Lead & Develop a High‑Performing Sales Team
- Set team and individual targets in a structured, data-driven way
- Coach, mentor, and develop your team to achieve exceptional results
- Foster a culture of active customer engagement and proactive sales execution
Ensure Commercial Excellence
- Be active in the market with focus on visits, meetings and interactions with customers for value selling
- Oversee quote development and value‑based proposal creation including meeting the customer timelines
- Collaborate with Marketing on commercial activities, campaigns, and events
- Drive consistent CRM adoption to improve visibility and decision-making
- Work closely with central BUs and sales support to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction
Who You Are
You bring a mix of technical understanding, commercial drive, and people leadership, including:
- Strong technical sales background in mechanical or chemical engineering, ideally with experience in high‑speed separators or decanter centrifuges
- Several years of leadership or team management experience
- Excellent negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- A strategic mindset with the ability to motivate, influence, and lead change
- Flexible, open‑minded, and confident working across functions and borders
