Promote and sell the organization’s products and services while providing technical support to customers. Actively manage day-to-day sales activities by pursuing new and existing sales opportunities through regular customer visits and communication to achieve assigned sales targets.
Assess customer applications, technical requirements, and business needs, and recommend appropriate products, solutions, and services. Prepare and follow up on sales quotations, negotiate prices and delivery terms within authorized limits, and successfully close sales orders to meet revenue objectives.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships to generate business and long-term sales opportunities. Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities, and communicate relevant information internally to support strategic sales actions.
Support order management activities including coordination with internal teams on production progress, delivery schedules, and customer requirements to ensure timely execution and customer satisfaction.
Work independently within established procedures and guidelines, while proactively responding to customer needs and contributing to the achievement of individual and team sales targets. The role operates mainly within a national scope and involves regular customer-facing activities.

Valmet is looking for Sales Engineer, Day-to-Day in Korea (Business Line: Flow Control). As Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for (not limited to):
• Manage sales development activities by building strong customer relationships through regular customer visits and contacts, understanding customer’s issues & challenges and providing the right solutions
• Perform sales plan and required actions to achieve personal and team's sales targets as per set country Sales unit target and strategy
• Manage order closing by receiving inquiries and follow-ups for quotation, setting up sales tactics and analyzing competitors and reviewing technical and commercial requirements of inquiries and confirming order details
• Handle order management by handling providing production progress reports to customers, delivery and commissioning on site and invoicing and collecting payments and service requirements.
To be successful in this role you have:
• Bachelor’s degree and engineering degree is plus
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Valve technical and application knowledge and experience in relevant industry
• Matrix org and multinational company experience is preferred
• Excellent level of communication skills and sales skill
• Easily establish good relationships with customers and employees
• Relates well to people at all levels
• Express opinions, information and key points of an argument clearly and responds quickly to the needs of customers and to their reactions and feedback
• Projects credibility.
• Focus on customer needs and satisfaction and set high standards for quality and quantity
