The Sales Engineer acts as the bridge between engineering and business. Responsible for translating customer needs into technical and commercial solutions, supporting presale and project execution, and developing technical-marketing assets.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare competitive proposals based on customer/tender requirements, integrating cost, schedule, and engineering inputs, in coordination with Finance and PM.
- Convert RFI/RFP documents into detailed engineering specifications, define resources, and assess risks with System and Product Engineering.
- Deliver technical presentations and demos, respond to customer questions, and provide field insights to internal teams.
- Align business and technical teams, ensure smooth knowledge transfer, and support periodic review meetings.
- Build and maintain templates, datasheets, and technical-marketing materials, updated per market needs.
- Bachelor’s degree field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Software, etc.).
- Minimum of three years of experience as a System Engineer or Technical Manager.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technology to non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of the business and sales process.
- Excellent proficiency in English (especially critical for international markets).
- Hands-on experience with similar systems in areas such as operations, integration, or implementation.
- Previous experience in the defense industry advantage
