Role Summary
As a Sales Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key customers and trade organizations, understanding and solidifying purchase agreements, customer alliances and market trends. You will also develop a keen understanding of Flowserve operations to enhance selling effectiveness and coordinate selling efforts with other internal and 3rd party selling channel partners.
In this role you will support above-average organic growth and increase Flowserve’s share in global key growth markets - in Europe and Asia - with selected customers using specific products. In doing so, generate additional revenue that cannot be achieved through the traditional methods of the sales organization.
Key Responsibilities
Realize revenue opportunities and analyze global markets
- Responsible for introducing and implementing sales strategies and ensuring support for the sales organization
Execute strategic business development programs and initiatives
- Responsible for increasing order intake in the identified key markets
- Independently develop and implement strategic sales initiatives and programs aimed at generating revenue growth with both existing and new products, through direct sales as well as distributors
Act as subject matter expert for dry vacuum technology & Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps
- Provide technical expertise for the sales organization and our customers for the products, service offerings, and markets identified as a focus for Specialist Sales
- Provide expert knowledge of technologies and applications in the target markets
- Identify and monitor key companies for dry vacuum technology worldwide
- Define target customers and create customer profiles to identify requirements and revenue potential
- Support the global sales organization beyond the EMA region through technical expertise in order to generate growth in dry vacuum, especially in expanding markets primarily in North Europe and occasionally in APAC.
Requirements
- A completed university degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar field is required, or the knowledge and skills have been acquired through another route.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in sales or business development are required.
- Fluent in English.
- Good technical knowledge in the Vacuum Technology.
- Strategic and solution-oriented thinking and action.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Project management experience is a plus
