About the Role 

As Regional Sales Director, you will lead the development and execution of the commercial strategy across Central Asia, driving sustainable revenue growth, margin expansion, and long-term customer value. 

This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for regional performance. Operating at both a strategic and hands-on level, you will drive market expansion, strengthen key customer partnerships, and lead high-performing sales and service teams to deliver consistent results. 

You will play a critical role in positioning Weir as a trusted partner in the region, combining strong market insight, technical expertise, and commercial acumen to deliver integrated solutions aligned to evolving customer needs. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own Regional Performance: Lead the Central Asia sales strategy with full P&L accountability, delivering sustainable revenue growth and margin expansion. 

  • Drive Strategic Customer Partnerships: Build and influence senior-level relationships, positioning Weir as a trusted, long-term partner across key accounts. 

  • Lead High-Performing Teams: Inspire and develop sales and service teams to deliver results, strengthen capability, and embed a culture of accountability. 

  • Accelerate Market Growth: Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities through strong market insight, shaping strategy to expand market share. 

  • Ensure Governance & Safety Excellence: Uphold the highest standards of compliance, risk management, and zero-harm safety leadership across the region. 

 
What You’ll Bring 

Must-haves 

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) 

  • Significant experience in senior commercial or business leadership roles within an international organisation 

  • Demonstrated success in regional sales leadership, including full P&L ownership 

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution 

  • Deep understanding of mining operations, processes, and customer environments 

  • Fluency in English and Russian (Russian essential; Kazakh beneficial) 

Nice-to-haves 

  • Strong key account management capability and experience managing complex, long-term customer relationships 

  • Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and influence decision-making at senior levels.

Skills Required
