Job Summary

This is an entry level sales support role responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities for Account Executives on the Direct Sales team. Sales Development Representatives own the first half of the sales cycle and research potential client accounts, perform prospect discovery calls, and schedule prospect product demonstrations with our Account Executives. Additionally, they manage and update leads in our Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), Microsoft Dynamics.

Please note that this is a hybrid position (3 days in office) in our Bee Cave, TX location. Therefore, candidates must live within commuting distance to Bee Cave, TX.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identify and qualify sales opportunities for assigned OEC products.

2. Conduct outbound proactive calls to generate business leads in a high-volume setting, placing roughly 40-60 calls per day.

3. Engage with prospects by phone and email and communicate knowledgeably to provide content and product/service information.

4. Generate introductory meetings with key decision makers and nurture accounts into a sales qualified lead.

5. Qualify leads and prospects using defined criteria and schedule them for product demonstrations with Account Executives.

6. Research accounts using internal tools as well as external browsers and sites such as Google and LinkedIn.

7. Participate in outbound call campaigns to create leads, drive attendance to upcoming events, and create awareness of current products and promotions.

8. Develop a strong understanding of OEC solutions, profile accounts, business need, and other relevant information.

9. Achieve assigned targets and performance metrics in line with business requirements.

10. Utilize OEC's CRM to document activity and maintain updated customer account information.

Education

Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience• Is a strong hunter that is driven, resilient and creative at engaging in meaningful conversations and handling objections• Is a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is adaptive and can thrive in a fast-paced, transactional sales environment• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Able to employ structured selling methods and sales techniques• Ability to multi-task on daily projects and commitments• Works effectively and independently in a high-pressure, high-risk sales environment• Strong desire and ability to evolve sales skills and product knowledge, and progress to an Account Executive within 12-18 months
