SUMMARY:

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for providing clerical & administrative assistance to the Director of Sales & Marketing, Sales Managers, and Event/Catering Managers. At times, the Sales Coordinator may be called upon to take on selling duties for small groups and functions. The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for building relationships and providing amazing communication and experience to our sales leaders and clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work independently and with a team on special, nonrecurring, and ongoing projects

· Input all group room blocks and events into MARSHA

· Monitor group pick-up and cutoff date and ensure that group blocks are up to date in CI

· Produce and distribute group resumes for “rooms only” groups

· Process Marriott Bonvoy Event points, Group Commissions and rebates

· Process and follow-up on all VIP guestroom reservations to include site inspections

· Organizes and maintains file system and correspondences.

· Greets scheduled visitors and makes the introduction to meet with the appropriate person.

· Assemble all sales and marketing packets and maintains inventory of all collateral.

· Ensure that all collateral is kept up to date and distributed all necessary individuals.

· Process and follow-up on all amenity and special request orders.

· Take inquiry calls, gather qualifying information and distribute leads appropriately.

· To ensure that all leads are traced and filed for follow-up.

· Check space availability as necessary.

· Other duties and jobs may be assigned as needed by Director of Sales & Marketing

  

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

· Must speak and communicate in English, Spanish speaking abilities are a PLUS

· Must be able to clearly communicate with guests, management and coworkers.

Requirements

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

· 1-2 years of hotel experience.

· Marriott’s CI and MARSHA experience preferred. 

. Marriott FSPMS experience preferred.

· Knowledge of hotel operations, including security and safety programs.

· Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  

Security clearance requirements

· Must clear background screening

Skills Required
