Job Description

As a part of the Ticket Sales team, your focus will be selling our premium spaces within a menu of products to support LIVE Events at Scotiabank Arena, RBC Amphitheatre, HISTORY, Coca-Cola Coliseum & Rogers Stadium. This is a 12-month, part-time (32-hour) entry-level sales position that is built on a strong foundation of learning the fundamentals through outbound activity, ongoing training, and development. Graduates from this program are well-positioned for advancement as we are committed to developing future leaders within the organization. 

The successful candidate will be an ambitious, hard-working, and coachable individual who is passionate about growing a career in sales within music & live entertainment. To be successful in this role, you must be a proactive, goal-oriented individual who thrives in a high-paced business environment and shares our common purpose to unite and empower employees to create extraordinary moments for music & live entertainment fans! 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • We are a ‘team first’ culture so your first responsibility is to be an incredible teammate. Each member of our sales team takes an equal share in developing and preserving a positive and collaborative group dynamic; this is the foundation of our success. 

  • Contribute to a collaborative sales culture that drives results across MLSE properties & Live Nation properties with a focus on Music & LIVE Events. 

  • Drive revenue in strategic & creative ways through cold calling, marketing campaigns & social selling with a focus on B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) sales. 

  • Promote a full menu of ticket products, including but not limited to full season, flex/partial season, group hospitality, executive suite rentals, and premium ticket packages. 

  • Identify prospects and decision makers for new sales opportunities through centers of influence, and referrals and execute hosting opportunities for potential prospects. 

  • Provide extraordinary customer service by ensuring prompt and thorough responses for all inbound and outbound communication. 

  • Adapt and be prepared to pivot quarterly focus as the demands of the business cycle evolve. 

  • Prepare and execute presentations to prospective clients. 

  • Manage effectively the order processing through the ticket booking system by adhering to proper administration processes. 

  • Perform promotional or Membership service functions as required. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the business need arises. 

  • Comfortable and capable of delivering within a fast-paced environment, utilizing time management and organizational skills. 

  • Great verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Proven sales track record as an asset. 

  • A positive, team-first approach, incorporating integrity, confidentiality, and discretion. 

  • An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client satisfaction. 

  • Demonstrated ability to build and develop long-lasting professional relationships. 

  • Willingness to be coached with the bravery to take risks and learn from the results. 

  • Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to build a career in music the business. 

  • A ‘One-Team’ approach toward departmental and company-wide goals. 

  • Demonstrated to perform well under tight timelines; prioritize simultaneously, while working independently. 

  • Any experience in developing sales and service relationships is preferred. 

  • Confident user of Microsoft 360 - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. 

  • Ticketmaster and/or ARCHTICS knowledge is an asset but not essential. 

  • Salesforce knowledge would be an asset but not essential.
