Implements and manages the company's occupational safety and health program; conducts safety inspections and trainings
About the job:
- Responsible for the implementation of Occupational Safety Programs set by the company, government agencies and International standards
- Conduct trainings related to Fire Safety, Accident Prevention, Occupational Safety and Health Programs, Electrical Safety and others.
- Compliance to safety and health concerns as promulgated by legal and other regulations.
- Acquire all necessary permits and certificates including renewal as required by relevant regulatory agencies and inform top management regarding the said matter.
- Support in planning, coordinating and providing companywide safety program and managing its implementation.
- Conducts regular safety audits and inspection together with other safety officers on each departments including the inspection of facilities, worksites, equipment, work practices, and safety devices to ensure compliance with required workplace safety standards, regulations, and company policy; reports findings to department and recommends changes to establish safe work conditions; may compel cessation of work in order to address potential imminent hazards; monitors changes and/or makes follow-up inspections.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; maintains proper documentation to conform with the record-keeping requirements of the company and government agencies
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, or a related field, with training in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Ergonomics.
- 3+ years of experience as a Safety Officer or equivalent.
- Knowledge of occupational safety and health principles, risk management, and accident prevention.
- Familiarity with OSH Standards and relevant labor and safety regulations.
- Skilled in hazard identification, safety inspections, and accident investigations.
- Ability to analyze safety issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret regulations and work effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
