As we continue to implement and enhance controls, processes and ways of working, we are looking for a Safety Business Partner to join our flagship Hume Rd facility in Laverton North and help us bring this vision to life.
About the role
As a Safety Business Partner, you will be at the forefront of shaping and embedding safety culture across our operations.

This is more than a compliance role - it's an opportunity to influence, educate and support continuous improvement in workplace safety.

You'll work closely with site leadership, operational teams, and Health & Safety Representatives, ensuring that safety is integrated into every aspect of our business.
Key responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders to develop, implement, and enhance site safety plans and risk management strategies.

  • Identify local safety improvement opportunities and coach site leadership on best practices.

  • Lead or facilitate incident investigations, operational risk assessments, and audits.

  • Support the implementation of Lineage's Safety Framework, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.

  • Develop, implement, and embed safe systems of work, including SOPs and risk assessments.

  • Promote the prompt reporting of incidents and hazards, supporting continuous learning and proactive risk management.

  • Support Safety and Compliance Culture Programs and provide training, coaching and mentoring to leaders and frontline employees.

  • Support injury management and contribute to state, country, and APAC-wide safety initiatives.

  • Maintain safety records, analyse safety data, and provide insights to drive proactive safety improvements.

About You
Essential:

  • You are a true safety champion who works collaboratively with teams to ensure the highest levels of engagement around safety

  • Proven experience in a similar safety leadership role within warehousing, logistics, or industrial operations.

  • Qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or related disciplines.

  • Strong knowledge of safety legislation and compliance requirements.

  • Experience conducting risk assessments, investigations, and audits.

  • Ability to partner with operational leaders to build and sustain a strong safety culture.

  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, systems, and risk management frameworks.

  • Lead Auditor qualifications or relevant auditing experience.

Preferred:

  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and influencing skills.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on, operational safety support.

  • Strong time management and organisational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety IT systems (e.g., Rapid, Enviro Essentials).
