Position Overview:
EisnerAmper has an immediate career opportunity for an Independence Department Technology and Automation Staff member (part of the Firm’s Risk Management group). In this role, you will work closely with the Independence Department team, supporting the firm’s auditor independence compliance through technology solutions and data management. This is a hybrid role that combines system administration and data analytics tasks with an introduction to independence processes – ideal for a technically savvy professional who wants to build a career at the intersection of technology and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration & Data Integrity: Administer the NetSuite independence database, maintain data accuracy, and resolve system issues in collaboration with IT and Independence teams.
Automation & Process Improvement: Support workflow automation, system enhancements, testing, and process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability of independence operations.
Data Analysis & Issue Resolution: Monitor and analyze independence data, identify trends and discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain data quality and compliance.
Independence Compliance Support: Assist with key independence processes, compliance documentation, representations, and audits while building knowledge of SEC, PCAOB, and AICPA independence requirements.
Global Collaboration & Communication: Partner with U.S. and global teams to support data, reporting, and system needs, serving as a liaison for independence-related information and technology solutions.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with enterprise systems; familiarity with NetSuite, Power BI, Power Automate, or similar tools preferred.
Analytical Thinking: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze data, identify issues, and resolve discrepancies across systems.
Risk & Compliance Interest: Interest in audit, risk, and compliance processes, with a willingness to learn auditor independence requirements.
Communication & Collaboration: Effective communicator who can translate technical findings into actionable insights and collaborate across global teams.
Proactive & Innovative: Self-starter who manages competing priorities, drives process improvements, and leverages technology to enhance operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
1–2 years of experience in a data/analytics, information systems, or ERP support role (internship experience will be considered).
Proven experience or coursework in data analysis and/or system administration. Experience customizing business systems (ERP, CRM, etc.) is a strong plus.
Strong technical aptitude, with an ability to quickly learn new software tools and systems.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented attitude.
