We are seeking a highly analytical and diligent Risk and Insurance Analyst to join our dynamic Risk Management team! This individual will play an important role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, while also managing the organization’s insurance portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of risk management principles, and experience in insurance, claims, finance, or a comparable area.
What You Will Accomplish:
Risk Assessment & Analysis:
- Continuously engage across the organization to identify and evaluate potential risks (financial, operational, regulatory, reputational, cybersecurity, etc.) affecting the company.
- Leverage AI-enabled risk management, analytics, and business intelligence tools to analyze risk data, identify trends and emerging patterns, and support the evaluation of existing risk management strategies, while applying professional judgment to validate findings and recommendations.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks using traditional research methods and AI-assisted monitoring tools to proactively identify potential threats and opportunities.
- Employ AI tools to improve risk assessments, scenario analysis, reporting efficiency, and data visualization while ensuring compliance with company governance and data privacy requirements.
Insurance Management:
- Assist with the administration and management of the company's corporate insurance programs, including property, casualty, liability, and financial product lines.
- Collaborate with brokers, insurers, and legal teams to negotiate coverage terms and policy renewals.
- Apply AI-assisted tools, where appropriate, to support policy analysis, coverage comparisons, claims trend analysis, and document review, while validating outputs for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist company collaborators with Certificates of Insurance and other insurance-related documentation.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain risk-related reports, dashboards, presentations, and metrics for senior management and collaborators.
- Use AI-enabled reporting, visualization, and document automation tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of reporting and documentation.
- Document risk management processes, coverage agreements, and claim records to support compliance, governance, and audit requirements while ensuring appropriate review of AI-generated content.
Claims Management:
- Coordinate with insurance providers and internal teams to ensure efficient and effective claims processing.
- Investigate and analyze claims to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policy terms.
- Apply AI tools to assist with claims analytics, document review, trend identification, and workflow management while maintaining human oversight of all claim decisions.
Risk Mitigation:
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, business continuity plans, and prioritisation.
- Provide recommendations for reducing risk exposure within the organization through risk avoidance, transfer, retention, or reduction strategies.
- Review internal business proposals, contracts, and other business initiatives to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate controls.
- Apply AI-assisted analysis and decision-support tools to evaluate risk scenarios, identify control gaps, and improve the efficiency of mitigation strategies, ensuring recommendations are independently assessed and validated.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, and others) to align enterprise risk management practices with business objectives.
- Advise departments on risk-related matters by providing data-driven insights, including AI-assisted analysis when suitable, to aid informed decision-making.
- Promote the responsible adoption of AI technologies within risk management processes in accordance with company policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as an ambassador for the Risk Management department by encouraging a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organization.
What You Will Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certifications such as ARM (Associate in Risk Management), CRM (Certified Risk Manager), or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) are a plus.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in risk management, insurance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with risk assessment tools, insurance policies, and claims management.
- Experience with risk reporting and insurance program administration.
- Background working for a broker, insurance company, or in corporate risk management.
- Skills:
- Practical application of AI tools in everyday activities is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with risk management software is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Attributes:
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Experience working with insurance brokers and carriers.
- Knowledge of financial modeling and risk modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of captive insurance operations is a plus, but not vital.

Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$83,500 - $95,600Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
