Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation and growth drive everything we do. Our Engineering teams tackle complex technical challenges across a global, three-sided marketplace, building and scaling systems that serve millions of customers, riders and partners every day. The Rider Engagement team sits within Rider Operations and is responsible for delivering a market-leading proposition for the Kuwait rider fleet. The team focuses on improving rider experience, engagement, and retention through initiatives such as rider communications, in-person events, perks and partnerships, intel gathering & reporting.

We’re looking for a Rider Engagement Associate - 9 Months Maternity Cover to join our ME Rider Operations team. The Rider Engagement Associate (Maternity Cover) will be responsible for leading rider engagement initiatives and campaigns end-to-end across Kuwait. The role will own the planning, coordination, budgeting, execution, and reporting of engagement activities that improve rider experience and strengthen Deliveroo’s relationship with its rider fleet. The candidate will report directly to the Middle East Rider Engagement Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Lead the planning, budgeting and execution of rider engagement events and initiatives throughout the year, including seasonal activations and in-person rider activities and events.

  • Develop and execute rider communications across multiple channels to drive awareness, participation, and engagement for various initiatives.

  • Own rider reporting and intel gathering, including running surveys and focus groups, aiming to share insights on industry trends or rider pain points with stakeholders.

  • Partner with Operations and other internal teams to support the rollout of rider-focused initiatives and programmes.

  • Track and evaluate the performance of engagement campaigns, communications, and events using relevant metrics (e.g. rider satisfaction surveys and redemption rates).

  • Identify and pursue impactful rider benefit partnerships (e.g. grocers, restaurants, and bike service shops) to strengthen Deliveroo’s non-monetary rider proposition in Kuwait.

  • Build strong relationships with riders and act as a voice of the rider within the business.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • 1–3 years of experience in Operations, Partnerships, Sales, Marketing & Community Engagement.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is a plus).

  • Hands-on and proactive, demonstrating the ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently.

  • Experience coordinating events, workshops, or engagement initiatives is a plus.

  • Proficient in Google Workspace tools and Excel/Sheets, with experience in Canva or similar design tools as a plus.

  • Available to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract and commit to the full duration of the maternity cover.
