What you will do:The primary role of an RFID engineer is to lead the implementation of software and hardware RFID solutions. The ideal candidate must have the ability to understand, document and implement customer requirements associated with the SOW (statement of work) and project planning, and the ability to interact with Project Management to formulate service delivery actions and products.How you will do it:
- Plan the most appropriate approach to implement the software and hardware solution within a customer's IT infrastructure.
- Test the solution within the customer's RFID environment by making sure that the configuration meets the defined requirements.
- Coordinate and assist in the formation of customer's support service and support teams involved in the program.
- Manage deployment team activities in the field, including site surveys, installation, configuration and validation of software, configuration and validation of hardware installation, software / hardware updates and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to assist with implementation planning, problem management, and risk management.
- Install, configure, test and validate the software and hardware according to the implementation plan.
- Implementation of new versions and patches of the solution.
- Implement solution optimizations.
- Maintenance, problem solving and support to the implemented systems (2nd level).
- Assist in the creation of technical and internal documentation for the user.
What we look for:Required
- Knowledge of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).
- Experience in the delivery of RFID based solutions, including printing and tagging.
- 3+ years of experience in RFID solutions.
- Strong ability to coordinate and supervise operational teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and face-to-face experience with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work alone or in a collaborative team environment.
- Hands-on experience.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited 4-year college or university.
- 70% availability to travel and stay at the customer’s site for a long time.
- English proficiency preferred.
