Job Description

  • Billing Management:

    • Oversee the preparation and issuance of invoices in a timely and accurate manner.

    • Monitor and manage the billing system to ensure completeness and accuracy of invoicing.

    • Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to customer billing inquiries promptly.

  • Revenue Recognition:

    • Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

    • Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate revenue records.

    • Prepare monthly revenue reports and analyze revenue trends.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in billing and revenue recognition.

    • Develop and maintain documentation of billing procedures and policies.

    • Work with IT and other departments to automate billing processes where possible.

  • Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to billing and revenue recognition.

    • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management.

    • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.

  • Team Management:

    • Lead and manage the billing team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

    • Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and foster a positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in billing and revenue management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

    • Experience with accounting software and Billing systems

  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and billing processes.

    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
