Resourcing Manager
- This role has accountability for forecasting, planning, and scheduling the resources required to deliver SID onboarding projects and activities for our customers. The scale of the resources this role will have accountability for within Implementation and Deployment are geographically located around the world.
- The role will partner with other Resourcing Manager to ensure the correct resource mix for the timely delivery of Implementation & Deployment projects.
- The Resource Manager will work with solution engineers, sales, client management and portfolio leaders to analyse, interpret and understand the sales/expansion pipeline and the pipeline of projects for existing and new customers.
- The Resource Manager will maintain a view of the resources, their experience, and competencies to best match our talent to deliver against our customer and GBT commitments.
- The Resourcing Managers will work with the Readiness Team, providing direction and best-practice guidance, to help the team manage the Salesforce tool and resource demand pipeline.
- The Resource Manager will work closely with the Product & technology team and Product-to-market specialists to help understand the need for Deployment resources to support the product pipeline.
The role holder must be analytical, be able to use data to anticipate problems and find opportunities. At the same time, very relationship focused, and stakeholder management capability are critical.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience of building capacity and scheduling plans and good project/program planning experience.
- Strong Excel and/or Smartsheet skills, analysis, and data interpretation experience.
- This role will require subject matter expertise, influencing skills and stakeholder management experience.
- Project management certification is desirable.
- Governance or Project Management Office experience is desirable.
What You'll Do:
- Allocate the right resources, with the right skills, to all customers (and some internal) projects in a timely manner.
- Update the resourcing tool and ensure that SID resources are aligned to the right projects.
- Liaise with Customer Onboarding Unit leads, Customer Onboarding Managers (LCOM, TCOM, COM), Customer Coordination Unit leads, Customer Coordination Manager, Resourcing Managers and Deployment Managers to allocate projects and review project delivery progress.
- Help maintain the resource skills matrix and work with Portfolio Directors and Unit Leads to recommend upskill opportunities.
- Analyse pipeline data to anticipate resource excesses and shortfalls.
- Provide the data to the Global Readiness and Resourcing Team Manager to build the annual resource requirement plan.
- Build and improve the processes and systems required to conduct workforce management for diverse global resources.
- Maintain all resourcing tools to ensure resources are fully utilized.
- Work with Solutions Consulting, Sales and Client Group Management to ensure alignment on resource planning.
- Identify trends, actions and behaviours that cause commons opportunities or problems.
- Accountable for resourcing, scheduling efficiency and global reporting.
- Work closely with the Reporting Manager to ensure the accuracy of the resource reports and dashboards.
- Facilitate regional and global resourcing meetings with stakeholders.
Additional Information
The Resourcing Manager plays a pivotal role in the SID team’s function. The Resourcing Manager must work with many different teams to ensure that we have the right person in the right place at the right time, across multiple markets. Drawing on their knowledge of resources and understanding of implementation and deployment projects, the Resource Manager will play a leading part in the success of the SID model.
The Resource Manager should have strong customer management skills and be able to handle the expectations of some demanding internal clients, being able to back-up their convictions where necessary. Similarly, the Resource Manager must have experience of understanding when flexibility is required to get the job done.
It will be necessary that the Resource Managers work together as a team to ensure that global projects are effectively resourced. Each Resource Manager must work closely with the Readiness Team, making sure that Salesforce workflows are managed in a timely manner, containing the relevant information to proceed to the next stage in the resourcing cycle.
The Resourcing Managers must be able to lead change and spot improvements when they arise. It is the aim of SID Resourcing to move away from in-region siloed operations and to become a truly global function, managing a global workforce on global implementation projects.
