Position SummaryCorporate Operations team directly supports the strategic and tactical needs of our solutions to ensure profitable growth and operational effectiveness. Our primary goal is to aid Huron’s multiple practices to continue as high performing businesses. The team drives value by effectively and efficiently managing the key business activities or operations across our solutions. Our team understands collaboration and communicates well with people at all levels, both within the US and India.
Supports the tactical and strategic functions associated with managing the overall supply and demand of consultants for client engagements. This role interfaces with business stakeholders to understand project requirements, employee skillsets, background, professional development, and career goals and uses this information in making project assignment to help effectively balance supply and demand. This role partners and collaborates with business leaders to develop strategies to meet client requirements, sets up team for delivery success, and meets organizational business objectives. Key to success in this role is one’s ability to establish and maintain credibility with practice/internal teams, develop and maintain understanding of business offerings and effectively communicate at all levels throughout the organization. This position will report to Resource Management Lead in India. The role and responsibilities shall include but not be limited to below and may vary based on our overall priorities and strategy.Qualifications
The role requires close collaboration with colleagues in the US and demands flexibility to work during evening IST hours to align with US working hours. Although the company permits hybrid work, employees can set their own working hours, ensuring overlap with US hours.
Job Description Summary
Required:
- Independently handle staffing within your assigned areas; understand project demand and match with resources based on availability, background, experience, and interests
- Develop and maintain understanding of business unit offerings to ensure better matching of skill sets and project needs
- Work with BU Leads in driving standardized RMO initiatives
- Work with Staffing Advisors on capacity model projections and provide recommendations
- Maintain staffing software/reporting and coordinate with other areas to ensure data is updated appropriately
- Lead staffing calls for your assigned areas, participate in leading monthly new hire resource management orientations and bi-weekly RM team meetings (all RMs participate in leading calls)
- Establish and maintain credibility with practice/solution and internal teams to facilitate ongoing relationships and service delivery efforts
- Partner with HR, Operations, Recruiting and L&OE and foster ‘Team Huron’ culture
- Support internal RM process improvement efforts as needed and drive RMO initiatives across your assigned areas
- Share and implement best practices across RMO and/or enterprise level
- Spend time in coaching/mentoring team members
- Review and recommend modifications to internal processes as needed for project control, operations review and business support.
- Reporting:
- Track and report utilization and provide reasoning for over/under utilization wherever applicable.
- Help track shadow and investment hours across industries and provide insight wherever possible
- Assist with scheduled and ad-hoc reporting activities.
Qualifications
- 4- 9 years years of work experience in resource management; experience in management consulting organizations highly preferred
- Huron requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to this position
- Flexibility in working in a hybrid model
- Experience in capacity planning and forecasting.
- Understanding of ERP/HCM/Data Management highly preferred
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional communication, influencing and analytical skills
- Strong oral presentation, listening and influencing skills
- Proven collaboration skills
- Experience with resource automation systems and software (Preferably Workday)
- Experience in reporting, with some familiarity with data analytics tools (i.e., Power BI)
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
