About the Resilience Group
The Resilience Group's mission is simple and critical: guarantee that the monday.com platform is always up and running. With hundreds of thousands of customers and continuous deployments happening daily, our platform faces constant pressures - and when things break, we restore them as fast as possible.
The group is on a mission to advance Agentic Incident response and AI SRE practices by driving 3 areas:
- Traffic Shaping - provides tooling that enables service owners to better contain and handle unusual usage patterns and traffic spikes that could destabilize the platform.
- Observability - empowers engineers across the organization to raises alerts when things aren't behaving as expected, and accelerate inspection, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents,
- Reliability Engineering - gives teams the tooling and practices they need to better operate their services, combining software engineering and DevOps expertise.
- Own the mission and outcomes of the Resilience group - platform availability, incident response speed, and reducing the frequency of production accidents.
- Identify bottlenecks across the platform and lead the group to solve them systematically - e.g. improving observability coverage and detection rates.
- Work with the Group Tech Lead to define technical strategy, and translate that into actionable scopes of work for each team.
- Manage and develop Team Leaders, supporting their growth and ensuring cross-team alignment.
- Understand the platform's architecture, usage patterns, and product context deeply enough to identify the next set of problems worth solving.
- Own and improve incident response practices - tooling, escalation paths, post-mortems, and preventative mechanisms.
Strong distributed systems understanding - you can navigate a microservices environment, understand infrastructure and application-level reliability, and assess trade-offs across observability, safety mechanisms, and operational tooling.
- Deep background in SRE or production engineering, you're also excited about where the field is heading: agentic SRE, agentic incident response, AI-assisted operations.
- Senior engineering management experience - you've managed Team Leaders and Senior Technical Leaders, and you know how to develop people who run complex technical domains.
- A problem-solver who understands reality: you understand the system, organizational constraints, and implement engineering-creative approaches that actually ship.
- Familiarity with observability best practices, traffic management, and production reliability at scale.
- Experience owning end-to-end reliability programs - not just running team ceremonies, but defining what needs to be built and why.
What to expect next?
- First up, you'll have a quick 20-30 minute chat with our Talent Acquisition Partner.
- If that goes well, we'll move forward to technical stages that will include: system design and end2end interviews. Each interview lasts 1 hour.
- If successful, we'd love to meet you in person too! So, the final stages will be in our Warsaw office, where you'll have a Management Interview and an HR Interview, each lasting about an hour.
- If everything clicks, we'll be thrilled to offer you a spot on our team!
