WHAT WE SEEK

The Research Partner Facilitator will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure successful research partnerships with school districts, schools, teachers, students, and other research participants.  Through consistent communication and interactions across teams, the Research Partner Facilitator will identify and recruit districts or schools to be research partners, guide the onboarding for successful partnership and manage the relationship throughout the research project. This includes tracking and responding to any district regulatory requirements or concerns such as managing research applications and data sharing agreements and facilitating regular check-ins to ensure successful research projects and satisfactory experiences. The Research Partner Facilitator will work with others on the research team to ensure that study designs are acceptable to research partners and will guide appropriate modifications to suit district needs, limitations, and situations.  They will also communicate with other departments to promote and inform them of research methods, goals and participants as well as outcomes. They will collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure full customer support.
 

An effective Research Partner Facilitator will have a strong background in education, project management, and/or customer success, ideally with some knowledge of research processes. This position requires a solution-oriented mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to flexibly engage diverse partners and engage across teams.
 

This position is full-time and will report to the Senior Director of Learning Engineering.


WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders (internal and external) and use those partnerships to ensure a successful research partnership
  • Facilitate communication and support relationship with partners regarding research participation, research needs, and results
  • Maintain clear and complete documentation of completed steps required for school district participation in studies
  • Identify partner needs and create recommendations and resources to ensure successful completion of research projects
  • Monitor project engagement with existing partners, and work to identify and mitigate potential barriers for ongoing partnership success. 
  • Schedule and facilitate regular partnership meetings with customers and develop action steps to address identified challenges
  • Plan and schedule district site visits for research activities, as needed
  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders cross-team within the company, including customer success team, sales, professional learning, and research project teams. 
  • Remain informed of national and local trends in educational research  and funding opportunities to influence research development
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date profiles of identified research partners
  • Develop and use collaborative relationships across departments to represent the customer perspective and influence the development of customer-centered collaborations that ensure intuitive and appropriate user experiences
  • Facilitate internal conversations with customer teams to maintain clear messaging and collaboration across services 
  • Seek to grow educational research nationally by collaborating with national consortiums that develop national research networks
  • Domestic travel 10-15%
  • Perform other duties as assigned
     

WHAT SHOULD BE IN YOUR BOOKBAG

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three or more years of experience in an education, customer success, or related setting or equivalent
    • Experience in K-12 educational environments is a plus 
    • Experience in research environments also a plus
  • Highly organized and strong project management skills
  • Ability to understand school and district infrastructure including technology environments and management
  • Strong people skills and ability to identify customer needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate professionally, persuasively, and confidently over phone, e-mail, and in-person
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Solution-oriented mindset and ability to advocate successful partnerships
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with ability to present to stakeholders at multiple levels
