Role Overview
The Research Executive will support the end-to-end execution of research projects—quantitative, or mixed-method—ensuring high-quality delivery for clients across sectors. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You’ll collaborate closely with clients, operations, analytics, and commercial teams to deliver robust insights on time, on budget, and on brief.
What will I be doing?
You will be running and supporting both India and global fast-turnaround (Omnibus, targeted sample) research projects on a whole host of topics, as well as helping to deliver Insight-led custom research reports as part of YouGov’s Client Service offering. You will have support from Senior Research Executives and Research Managers on larger and complex projects.
The role relies on excellent communication skills; you’ll be working closely with other YouGov teams as well as directly with clients to design and deliver research which hits the brief and is clear, unbiased and stands up to scrutiny (thanks to YouGov’s research’s amazing reputation and media presence).
What will I be delivering?
Designing and running consumer/business Omnibus (set-sample) surveys, plus Targeted sample research projects (end-to-end project management)
Working with senior researchers on delivery of more complex Custom research studies
Assist in designing research studies, including sampling plans, methodology, and timelines.
Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Data Processing, Survey Programmers, Charting teams) to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor fieldwork progress, data quality, and timelines.
Support multi-country or multi-city studies where required.
Developing and applying your understanding of research methods, including the principles of good questionnaire design
Using excellent communication skills to discuss client’s research objectives with clients and colleagues, and to author clear, accurate questionnaires and reports
Designing analysis, working on reports and presentations, delivering presentations (with senior researcher support on some projects)
Data analysis and presentation – analysing and discussing what the research shows and communicating this effectively to clients
Collaborating with colleagues to quality-check, design and deliver projects from start-to-finish
Responding to fast-turnaround client requests and attending client meetings as a research representative
Learning and using technical systems – logging client activity, saving all records of project communications, and using YouGov software platforms to script surveys and deliver results to our clients
What do I need to bring with me?
Demonstrated knowledge and experience
Quantitative research experience in a client-facing role (minimum 1 year)
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver results, meet deadlines and manage time effectively
Problem-solving, analytical and numerical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; client‑facing exposure is important.
Technical skills and qualifications
Educated up to degree / master’s level in a relevant (e.g. social sciences, marketing) subject desirable
Understanding of statistics and quantitative analysis desirable
Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups), PowerPoint, and tabulation platforms.
