What you’ll do…

The Reliability Program Manager, O&M – Eastern Region is responsible for driving fleet reliability improvement initiatives across the Eastern Region. This role will lead project execution, coordinate field resources, manage schedules, collect and analyze reliability data, and ensure high-impact improvement projects are completed with clear ownership, cadence, and measurable results.

This position bridges project management, field execution, and operational reliability. The ideal candidate must be highly project-oriented, structured, and execution-focused, while also being capable of leading technicians, coordinating across departments, and removing barriers that impact fleet performance.

The role supports Eastern Region O&M by taking ownership of reliability-based projects that require dedicated focus beyond normal day-to-day maintenance execution. This includes driving corrective action programs, preventive maintenance improvement efforts, product reliability campaigns, and field process improvements that directly impact uptime, customer confidence, and fleet performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution and Ownership

  • Own and manage Eastern Region reliability improvement projects from planning through completion.
  • Build and maintain project schedules, trackers, action logs, risk registers, and status reporting.
  • Drive execution cadence through recurring project meetings, clear action ownership, and follow-up discipline.
  • Ensure project timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and risks are visible to O&M  leadership.
  • Coordinate  with Area Managers, Field Service Coordination, NOC, Training, Safety, Engineering, Asset Management, and other internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide routine updates on project progress, barriers, decisions needed, and expected completion dates.
  • Ensure projects are closed with documented results, lessons learned, and sustainable handoff plans.

Fleet Reliability and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead initiatives focused on improving fleet uptime, reducing repeat failures, and addressing known reliability trends.
  • Analyze work order data, failure patterns, recurring alarms, customer-impacting events, and maintenance trends.
  • Identify high-count electrical and mechanical failure points and coordinate  corrective action plans.
  • Support root cause analysis efforts and ensure corrective actions are translated into field-executable work.
  • Develop and track measurable reliability improvement targets.
  • Support the organization’s movement toward improved uptime, availability, and customer-facing reliability performance.

Field Team Leadership

  • Lead assigned technicians and resources in support of reliability improvement projects.
  • Coordinate field execution plans, site readiness, material needs, scheduling, and completion tracking.
  • Ensure technicians have clear scopes of work, expectations, safety requirements, and escalation paths.
  • Partner with Area Managers to avoid conflicts with daily O&M priorities and ensure  efficient use of field labor.
  • Reinforce standard work, safety expectations, documentation quality, and completion discipline.
  • Provide direction to assigned team members while maintaining alignment with regional O&M leadership.

Data, Reporting, and Communication

  • Develop project dashboards, scorecards, and status summaries for leadership review.
  • Track project completion, schedule adherence, resource constraints, risk items, and reliability impact.
  • Translate  field issues and data trends into actionable improvement plans.
  • Provide concise executive-level updates that clearly state progress, blockers, support needed, and next steps.
  • Support customer communication efforts by providing reliable project status, improvement actions, and results tied to fleet performance.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Engineering and Sustaining Engineering on technical solutions and product reliability issues.
  • Partner with Training to ensure new procedures, corrective actions, and lessons learned are captured and reinforced.
  • Coordinate with Safety on electrical safety, site-specific requirements, and safe field execution.
  • Partner with Field Service Coordination to ensure work orders, schedules, and dispatch  plans are aligned.
  • Work with the NOC to understand alarms, dispatch events, fleet trends, and site operating impacts.
  • Support O&M leadership in prioritizing reliability work against operational risk and customer impact.
