Regulatory Operations Data Associate

The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. The Regulatory Operations Data Associate supports the accuracy, consistency, and operational readiness of lodging and regulatory data across systems, partner workflows, and traveler-facing platforms. This role helps ensure property information is reliable, properly maintained, and aligned with operational and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will
Manage inbound cases and queues related to data issues, property onboarding, product configuration, compliance support, and tooling questions
Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within agreed service levels, escalating complex defects or recurring issues when needed
Create, update, and maintain property and partner data in internal tools and systems by following documented procedures and change controls
Complete checks and validations after updates to confirm data accuracy, consistency, and expected downstream behavior
Follow established runbooks for known issues and document new scenarios, fixes, and job aids as recurring patterns emerge
Support quality checks, audit requirements, and peer reviews for data and configuration changes
Help translate regulatory requirements into operational rules, validations, and data flags that can be implemented in systems and workflows
Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate workflow failures, reproduce issues, and provide clear impact details to support resolution
Communicate clearly with stakeholders on issue status, business impact, and next steps
Identify workflow and tooling improvement opportunities that strengthen data quality, efficiency, and operational controls
Experience and qualifications :
High attention to detail and comfort working with structured data and process-driven tasks
Ability to interpret business rules and apply them consistently across tools and workflows
Proficient written communication skills for documenting fixes and explaining outcomes clearly
Experience with data analysis or operations tools such as SQL, Excel, QueryBook, or Tableau
Experience using case management tools such as Salesforce or Jira
Ability to interpret regulatory or policy requirements and translate them into practical operational checks
Experience in operations, technical support, back-office, or data-focused roles is preferred
Familiarity with travel, lodging, marketplace, or partner-support processes is an advantage
Ability to solve structured and time-sensitive problems in unfamiliar situations
