We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager  who is responsible for driving Oishii’s growth in New Jersey, Eastern PA, Westchester and Rockland County, and surrounding areas. This role will oversee the development of the Oishii business at a regional level, will drive Oishii’s commercial growth, provide insights in the development of  a locally relevant field marketing strategy, and will oversee partner agencies and/or a small team of District Sales Associates. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will work closely with Sales, Field and Brand Marketing, and will be the Face of the Brand in the local market. 


What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Create, build, and maintain strong partnerships with key retail personnel in order to:
    • Maintain and grow Oishii sales in order to achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targets
    • Manage inventory allocations & levels for each account. Ensure orders meet daily demand, based on data
    • Ensure all accounts are meeting Oishii merchandising & quality standards
    • Maintain minimum inventory levels in each account in order to prevent any out-of-stock situations
    • Build Oishii loyalists with key retail staff (buyers, product staff, guest services, etc). A ‘loyalist’ is defined as a staff member who is knowledgeable on our brand, farm and products and will actively recommend Oishii to customers
  • Oversee partner agencies with potential to oversee junior sales staff as well.
  • Oversight and collaboration with 3rd party merchandising agency which will be active within the region, supporting best-in-category merchandising and store presence/relationships 
  • 80%+ time spent in-trade/field during the week and weekends (must have availability on weekends during the month)
  • Travel throughout the assigned region 3–4 days per week for store visits, with up to 5 days during launch or surge periods; occasional weekend availability required to support market growth.
  • Supporting market launches as required, including creating a locally relevant field marketing strategy
  • Daily collaboration with sales leadership and distribution team to manage inventory allocations and order fulfillment. Proactively develop distribution strategies in order to maintain 100% utilization
  • Identify & develop opportunities in the region that will grow consumer awareness and drive trials, truly owning the region and driving sampling opportunities. 
  • Develop a keen understanding of potential partners (such as restaurants, cultural societies, bakeries/ice cream shops) and events (food events, sporting events, etc)  in the assigned region region that will be critical in building an effective field marketing strategy

What we look for in a Regional Sales Manager:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-7 years of field sales/management experience, ideally within CPG/Grocery
  • Experience with big box retailers is a plus

Additional Details: 

  • Must have availability for weekend store visits on a recurring basis to support market growth and regional coverage. Occasional overnight stays may be required when extended evening commitments in the region make same-day return impractical.
  • Candidates must reside in the North Jersey market area, hold a valid US driver's license, and have a reliable personal vehicle for regular travel into Eastern PA, Westchester, Rockland County, and surrounding regions
  • This role requires physical stamina, including prolonged periods on your feet, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs when moving promotional equipment or restocking merchandise.
