Summary
Provides direct supervision of the daily operations of all ground-based EMS activities related to operations, including emergency and non-emergency ambulance services, advanced life support services, and supervision of the paratransit/ wheelchair service. Assists in the development of operational policies and procedures. Ensures that they are carried out uniformly and consistently. The Regional Manager is responsible for always assuring the immediate and future operational capabilities of all units. Monitor the availability of assigned personnel, staff assignments, and adjustments needed to meet the needs of the organization. Makes front line decisions for staff assignments, emergency situations, remedial action, and employee assistance. Performs the following duties personally or through subordinate Field Supervisors.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 10 to 150 employees in the EMS Ground Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in managing regional EMS operations, staffing, employee performance, and operational decision-making.

Education and/or Experience
Certificate from college or certified organization in supervisory training; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of four years previous field experience as a Paramedic under Medical Command. Demonstrated capacity for Leadership.
Other Skills and Abilities
Minimum of One year of Employment with the company as a Paramedic with Medical Command is preferred.
Minimum of four years of supervisory experience is preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current Driver's License, EVOC, CPR Certification, Certified as a Paramedic by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, ACLS Certifications and ITLS Certification.
