Role Overview:
Reporting to the SVP of Public Sector Sales, the Regional Director of GHE Sales is responsible for strategically and tactically leading the Government, Healthcare, and Education sales organization in direct alignment with Trellix’s Go-To-Market strategy. This executive leader is directly accountable for building, motivating, and transforming a world-class team to achieve best-in-class engagement with customers, colleagues, and partners.The ideal candidate will bring an account-expansion mindset, a deep understanding of SaaS financial drivers (ARR/NRR), and the ability to navigate complex, regulated procurement cycles to drive net-new business growth.

Net-New & Expansion Growth: Lead the team in identifying and engaging both new and established institutional customers and partners to close net-new opportunities and drive account expansion.
GHE Market Strategy: Optimize and execute the regional sales strategy and tactical game plan for the SLED, Healthcare, and Education sectors to achieve revenue, margin, and market-share objectives.
Data-Driven Operational Excellence: Establish and reinforce strict net-new sales KPIs. Use sales tools, resources, and financial data—specifically SFDC—to manage productivity, control the sales pipeline, and deliver accurate forecasts.
Proactive Course Correction: Actively report sales results against established metrics, proactively providing recommended, measurable courses of action when pipeline shortcomings are identified.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with leaders from Engineering, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Professional Services to provide vital GHE market insights, regulatory challenges, and customer suggestions.
Channel Ecosystem & Unity: Reinforce and act as an ambassador for Trellix’s GTM model, ensuring all team members and channel partners (resellers, SIs, distributors, and MSPs) understand and deliver "one voice" to our clients.
About You
You are an inspirational, disciplined sales leader with a track record of outstanding strategic and tactical sales management within the enterprise software sector, combined with an open, honest, and collaborative leadership style.
Sales Leadership Scale: Minimum of 8+ years of sales leadership experience, with a proven history of leading national or regional teams of at least 8 people, including multiple levels of management.
Scale of Attainment: A proven track record of enterprise software revenue attainment of $70M+ is essential.
SaaS & Financial Acumen: Experience within enterprise SaaS sales teams operating in a blended direct and indirect sales model. Deep familiarity with environments focused on driving ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue), NRR (Net Retention Revenue), and NPS (Net Promoter Score). SaaS background at the application layer is highly ideal.
GHE Procurement Expertise: Deep understanding of public sector procurement processes, including RFPs, cooperative purchasing agreements (e.g., NASPO, GSA schedules), and healthcare purchasing groups (GPOs), alongside compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FERPA, StateRAMP/CJIS).
Talent Transformation: A history of growing, evolving, and transforming teams into top performers through rigorous talent assessment, strategic acquisition, performance management, and succession planning.
Technical & Thought Leadership: Technically savvy and capable of learning, absorbing, and communicating the value of the Trellix platform, cyber resilience, and architectures like Zero Trust to highly analytical institutional buyers.
Travel: Willingness and ability to conduct national travel as required to support the team and close major opportunities.
This position is paid (in part) on a commission basis. The Base Pay Range is $200,000 - $260,000. The On Target Earnings (OTE) Range (base pay plus on target commission) is $400,000 – $475,000. Actual base pay within the Base Pay Range and actual OTE within the OTE Range will depend on varying circumstances, including the work location, individual qualifications, company budget and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
