We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Recruiting Supervisor to lead and manage all recruitment activities across our production, warehouse, logistics, corporate, and supervisory functions. The Recruiting Supervisor will oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, supervise recruiting staff, coordinate temporary staffing programs, develop workforce pipelines, and ensure hiring needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. - Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly, salaried, supervisory, and management positions.
- Develop recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates for production, warehouse, logistics, quality assurance, maintenance, and corporate positions.
- Partner with department managers to identify current and future staffing needs.
- Manage candidate sourcing through job boards, staffing agencies, employee referrals, social media, job fairs, schools, and community partnerships.
- Ensure all job postings accurately reflect position requirements and company standards.
- Conduct candidate screening, interviews, background verification coordination, and reference checks.
- Oversee offer preparation, compensation recommendations, and candidate onboarding processes.
- Serve as a point of contact for temporary staffing agencies.
- Monitor agency performance, fill rates, turnover, attendance issues, and worker quality.
- Support conversion programs from temporary to direct-hire employees.
- Ensure staffing agencies comply with company policies and legal requirements.
- Supervise recruiting coordinators.
- Train, coach, and develop recruiting team members.
- Establish recruiting performance metrics and accountability standards.
- Conduct regular meetings to review open positions, hiring progress, and recruitment challenges.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Assist HR leadership with workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
- Maintain accurate hiring, recruiting, and applicant tracking records.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including California employment regulations.
- Ensure compliance with EEO, ADA, FEHA, I-9, and applicable wage and hour requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate and employee information.
- Oversee new hire orientation and onboarding activities.
- Partner with Payroll, HR, and Operations to ensure timely completion of hiring documentation.
- Monitor onboarding effectiveness and retention of newly hired employees.
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives related to recruitment and onboarding.
- Develop and maintain recruiting metrics including:
- Time-to-fill
- Cost-per-hire
- Turnover rates
- Agency utilization
- New hire retention
- Open requisition status
- Prepare monthly recruiting reports and workforce analyses for senior management.
- Recommend process improvements based on recruitment data and business needs.
- Directly supervises Recruiting Coordinators, and other talent acquisition staff.
- Provides coaching, performance management, scheduling, and professional development.
- Participates in hiring, disciplinary actions, promotions, and performance evaluations of recruiting team members.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of recruiting experience.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience recruiting for manufacturing, distribution, logistics, food processing, or similar industries preferred.
- Experience managing temporary staffing relationships and high-volume recruiting programs.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and hiring regulations.
- Excellent interviewing, assessment, and talent evaluation skills.
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Experience with Paycom or similar HRIS systems preferred.
