In the role of Events Manager, you are able to produce extraordinary events to attract and recruit high-quality candidates to Salesforce. These event experiences range from in-person, virtual and hybrid to connect job seekers to our brand, culture, recruiters and hiring managers. The role sits on the Talent Connection & Engagement Team that reports into the HR organization. You are critical in helping to develop and execute successful recruiting events to through a lens of diversity, inclusion, and equality.
Your Impact
The Talent Connection & Engagement team is responsible for creating the strategy to attract and recruit highly sought out candidates, evangelizing Salesforce as a best place to work and fueling the recruiting pipeline. We are seeking an experienced events professional to join our team, someone with extensive knowledge of end-to-end production - strategic planning, budgeting, measuring external events and post-event analysis. You must be able to execute a world-class event to ensure impactful experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Design & deliver exceptional events: Responsible for curating world-class events including budgeting, planning, logistics, organizing, and measuring events held at the company site and externally such as tradeshows, restaurants, roundtables, convention centers, etc.
Project management: Ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously, including ordering equipment, scheduling deliveries, managing vendors (catering, transportation, etc.), securing on-site staffing
Manage budgets effectively: Develop and oversee event budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, assist with reconciling invoices, and ensure cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
Problem-solving abilities: Adapting to unexpected situations and resolving issues on-site. Excellent problem solving skills to adapt to unexpected situations, resolve issues onsite
Third party Vendor Management: Manage sponsorship agreements and relationships with third-party partners, vendors and contractors, including helping to respond to sponsorship inquiries and be able to apply critical thinking to evaluate sponsorship opportunities and provide recommendations to senior leaders.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with Recruiting, Hiring Managers, Marketing, Brand/Creative, and Procurement and to align on event goals and deliverables.

An innate knack for event coordination At least 5+ years of professional event management experience. Have attended and/or produced technology events.
Ideal traits/skills:
- Event and tradeshow management experience is a must with a minimum of 5+ years of professional event management experience
- Knowledge and ability to design and build event registration pages such as Splash
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to present solutions to problems.
- Goal-oriented, organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to assess and prioritize workload in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills to interact with speakers, stakeholders, vendors, and attendees.
- Thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles and a process oriented, self-starter, with the ability to analyze performance.
- You are passionate about corporate social responsibility programs, corporate giving, volunteer programs, and diversity and inclusion
- Program management skills are a plus and a desire to improve current processes.
