Position: Recruiter

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Full-Time, Remote Work.

Salary: R26,500 - R30,000

We are looking for a high-level, experienced Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist who can independently assess candidates and make sound judgement calls about whether someone is the right fit for a role and the organisation.

This is not simply an interview and screening position. The successful candidate must be able to evaluate a candidate's communication style, personality, professionalism, motivation, reliability, and overall suitability, and confidently determine whether they should progress in the recruitment process.

Healthcare recruitment experience is a plus but is not required. What is essential is strong recruitment judgement, excellent communication, intelligence, discretion, and the ability to build trust.

• Manage the recruitment process from candidate sourcing and screening through to shortlist.
• Conduct professional and structured candidate interviews.
• Assess candidates beyond their CV and qualifications, including:
• Communication skills
• Personality and behavioural fit
• Motivation and attitude
• Professionalism
• Reliability and accountability
• Ability to meet the requirements of the role
• Make informed recommendations on whether candidates should progress.
• Exercise independent judgement rather than relying solely on predetermined checklists.
• Identify potential concerns, inconsistencies, and red flags during the recruitment process.
• Build strong relationships with candidates and provide a professional candidate experience.
• Clearly communicate candidate strengths, concerns, and overall suitability to hiring stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment records.
• Collaborate with the wider recruitment and Talent Delivery team.
• Manage multiple vacancies and candidates while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Take ownership of recruitment decisions and follow candidates through the process.
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling candidate and client information.
• Continuously look for ways to improve the quality and efficiency of the recruitment process.
• Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, executive recruitment, or a similar role.
• Strong candidate assessment and interviewing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to make independent judgement calls when assessing candidates.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Ability to quickly understand different personalities and assess cultural and behavioural fit.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Ability to build trust with both candidates and clients.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Confidence working with minimal supervision.
