About Raydar
Raydar is a fast-moving, growing recruiting company building an AI-powered agency for the next generation of hiring. We work with exciting U.S. startups and larger companies, and we speak every day with talented people across technology, sales, operations, product, and other functions.
This is a direct role on the Raydar team, not a position with one of our clients. You will help create a thoughtful, high-energy candidate experience while learning how a modern recruiting business operates.
The role and why it matters
When someone we have sourced is interested in an opportunity, they book time with Raydar. You will be the person who welcomes them, guides the conversation using a clear script, learns what they are looking for, and makes sure their preferences are accurately captured for our recruiting team.
You will be one of Raydar's main candidate communicators. The work is focused on recruiting calls and candidate communication today, with room to take on broader recruiting responsibility as you grow.
What you'll do
• Speak with candidates who have booked time with Raydar after being contacted about an opportunity.
• Follow a structured call script while keeping the conversation warm, natural, and engaging.
• Learn each candidate's goals, experience, preferences, timing, compensation expectations, and ideal next role.
• Answer basic process questions clearly and make sure candidates know what happens next.
• Capture accurate notes and keep candidate information organized for the recruiting team.
• Communicate promptly and professionally before and after calls when follow-up is needed.
• Work closely with a fast-moving team that is using AI to make recruiting more efficient and more personal.
Requirements
What we're looking for
• 0 to 5 years of professional experience. Prior recruiting experience is welcome but not required.
• Excellent spoken and written English, with the clarity and confidence to lead detailed conversations with candidates.
• Strong listening skills and genuine curiosity about people, careers, and what motivates someone to make a move.
• A friendly, professional communication style and the ability to make people feel comfortable quickly.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow a process consistently.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where the role can grow over time.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
Bonus points
• Experience in recruiting, customer service, sales development, scheduling, call centers, or another communication-heavy role.
• Familiarity with startups, recruiting technology, or AI tools.
• Experience speaking with professionals in the United States.
Benefits
• $7 to $10 USD per hour, based on experience.
• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday.
• Optional overtime opportunities when available and of interest.
• Meaningful room to grow into broader recruiting and candidate-experience responsibilities.
• Two-step interview process: an AI interview followed by a conversation with the Raydar team.
• Full-time, remote role for candidates based in South Africa.
• Working schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.
