ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
- Aid in establishing a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the company, both internally and externally.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Research, organize, and represent CODAC local and virtual job fairs
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Review and analyze resumes using our in-house ATS software program.
- Scour job search websites for potential recruits and contact those candidates personally.
- Assess applicant’s relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
- Review applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
- Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
- Conduct prescreening interviews.
- Coordinate panel interviews with/for hiring managers
- Locate and document where to find ideal candidates.
- Coordinate college recruiting initiatives to include developing working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting.
- Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team.
- Maintains adequate cross training and serves as a backup for other departmental functions.
- Performs other related activities in accordance with agency growth and changes.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
- Associates degree in a related field and 2 years’ experience working in Human Resources
- Experience may substitute for degree.
Experience:
- Two years of experience in general HR functions is preferred.
- Prior experience in recruiting, benefits administration, compensation, HRIS, orientation of staff, employee relations.
- High level of proficiency using computers and data entry.
- Paycom experience is a plus.
Certifications:
- Human Resources and/or Recruiter Certification, preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Arizona Driver’s license, proof of current insurance and willingness to use personal vehicle. Driver’s license is an essential requirement for performing duties for this position.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record - no more than 2 moving violations or a license suspension in past 3 years.
Skills Required
- Associate degree in a related field and two years of Human Resources experience, or equivalent experience substituting for the degree
- Two years of experience in general HR functions
- Experience in recruiting, benefits administration, compensation, HRIS, staff orientation, or employee relations
- High proficiency using computers and data entry
- Valid Arizona driver's license, current insurance, and willingness to use a personal vehicle
- Clean motor vehicle record with no more than two moving violations or a license suspension in the past three years
- Bachelor's degree
- Human Resources and/or Recruiter certification
- Paycom experience
