Coordinates hospital stays, discharge planning, transitions of care, referrals, follow-up appointments, medical records, and aftercare plans for behavioral health members. Collaborates with recovery teams, hospital staff, providers, courts, and community resources. Completes required intake, treatment, discharge, and regulatory documentation; facilitates care team meetings; coordinates transfers; and responds to hospital enrollment notifications within 24 hours.

Performs front- and back-office membership operations in a healthcare setting, including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, fee collection, benefits screening, medical-record maintenance, and member data entry. Supports kiosk training, customer service, resource referrals, satisfaction tracking, and communication routing. Membership Technicians additionally conduct healthcare assessments, help members follow prescribed care and testing, address health barriers, provide education, and connect members with community resources.

Process and resolve medical and behavioral claims, manage denials/rejections, post payments and EOBs, maintain billing records, reconcile Medicaid ERAs/EFTs, communicate with payors and providers, and meet production and quality standards.

Provide outreach, engagement, case management, and care coordination for individuals with substance use disorders (especially OUD), linking them to treatment (including MAT/MOUD). Work includes community and in-home outreach, crisis intervention, transport/accompaniment, documentation in EHRs, intake/enrollment, and 24/7 after-hours support as part of a multidisciplinary team.
