Vast is looking for a Recruiter, Internal Mobility, reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Operations, to own internal candidate movement and contract hiring. As Vast scales the teams designing and building human-rated space stations, more of our strongest hires will come from people already here, and more of our capacity gaps will close through contract support.
A successful candidate will be an organized and responsive recruiter who moves internal candidates and contract hires through a defined process without dropping steps. This role partners closely with recruiters, recruiting coordinators, hiring managers, and People Operations.
This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach headquarters.
Key Responsibilities- Own the internal candidate relationship from application through transition date.
- Screen internal applicants against role requirements and move qualified candidates forward.
- Run the internal interview loop and keep the assigned recruiter and People Business Partner current on candidate progress.
- Coordinate transition timing across the hiring manager, the current manager, and the employee.
- Maintain internal job board postings and internal candidate documentation.
- Responsible for contractor requests, vendor engagement, and conversions.
- Track requests through to start, flag delays before they slip, and hand off to People Operations at acceptance for onboarding and worker lifecycle management.
- Track vendor submittal quality, time to fill, and rate adherence, and provide the data for vendor reviews.
- Report on internal fill rate, time to transition, conversion rate, and vendor performance.
- 2+ years in recruiting or working/supporting internal mobility workflow/hiring process for a company
- 1+ years of full cycle recruiting,
- Experience managing multiple concurrent requisitions and stakeholders independently.
- Hands-on ATS experience (Greenhouse)
- Experience with contingent workforce, or vendor management.
- Experience in a high growth hardware, manufacturing, or aerospace environment.
- Comfort in spreadsheets and recruiting reporting.
