Lead full-cycle technical recruiting for multiple engineering disciplines: partner with hiring managers, source passive candidates, manage pipelines and ATS, run interview debriefs, report recruiting metrics, improve hiring velocity, and ensure a high-quality candidate experience while representing Vast's mission.

Coordinate and monitor component flow through manufacturing stages, ensure timely deliveries, liaise with procurement/engineering/quality, manage outside processing and logistics, maintain system data and reports, escalate shortages and schedule issues, and support production planning to meet milestones.

Provide advanced security operations including access control, credentialing, patrols, incident response, reporting, vendor escorts, and guidance to junior officers. Monitor facilities, identify risks, support special events and operational tasks, and maintain documentation and adherence to security protocols.

Design, implement, and support fixtures and tooling for Haven-1 assembly, lifting, and handling. Collaborate with integration, manufacturing, and vehicle engineering to define tooling specs, perform mechanical/FEA analysis, develop operation and maintenance plans, manage project schedules and vendors, iterate tooling improvements, and resolve production issues with technicians and stakeholders.

Support on-site operations and facilities tasks including moving, staging, and assembling equipment and furniture; workspace setup and onboarding support; inventory and supply stocking; event setup/breakdown; completing tickets and checklists; following safety protocols; escalating issues to senior staff.

Lead reliability and design reviews for human-rated artificial-gravity space station systems. Oversee qualification and test completeness, drive engineering standards and processes, capture lessons learned, and partner cross-functionally to ensure design maturity, configuration control, and safe, resilient hardware development.

Support development of human-rated space station systems by performing system safety analyses (FHA, crew survivability, human error), documenting hazards and controls, assessing failure tolerance and compliance, participating in design reviews, and recommending design improvements to minimize risk to people and property.

Support design, build, and operations of human-rated space stations by coordinating launch readiness, assessing and communicating risks, verifying testing and deliverables, supporting technical reviews, investigating anomalies, driving corrective actions, and building a safety-first mission assurance culture.

Lead development and implementation of soft-goods manufacturing processes (cargo bags, blankets, closeouts). Collaborate with design, supply chain, QA, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and crew safety. Own production targets, create control plans and operating procedures, drive root cause analysis and corrective actions, and implement process improvements using data-driven methods.

Plan and maintain production schedules, forecasts, capacity and inventory for fluid systems. Coordinate procurement, engineering, quality, and logistics to meet release dates, identify bottlenecks, implement improvements, and ensure on-time delivery.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will design and analyze structures for space stations, considering environmental impacts and leading subsystem integrations.

Support supplier quality activities for EEE components used in spaceflight: coordinate testing and RFQs with suppliers, document test and reliability data, manage screening processes, assist supplier audits, identify non-conformances, and ensure components meet industry standards for high-reliability aerospace applications.

Design, implement, and maintain data acquisition and complex control systems for testing space-rated hardware. Develop software tools and standards, troubleshoot test assets, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support robust testing and upgrade requests at the Long Beach test site.

Manage end-to-end accounts payable for high-volume invoices (~4,000/month), oversee payment execution (ACH, domestic and international wires, checks), maintain AP ledger and reconciliations, support month/quarter/year-end close and external audits, partner cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies, and lead and develop the AP team while ensuring timely, accurate, policy-compliant payments.

Manage and optimize the ATS and recruiting tech stack, document scalable recruiting processes and SOPs, build and maintain dashboards and reporting, ensure recruiting data integrity, support tool adoption and change management, and collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to improve hiring operations.

The Power Electronics Engineer will develop power electronics systems for space stations, focusing on design, validation, and environmental testing.

The Quality Manager will oversee quality control activities, lead a team, ensure compliance with standards, analyze quality data, and drive process improvements.

The Production Manager will oversee daily production, lead teams, resolve issues, and improve manufacturing processes for space station development.

Support and own sections of large proposals, conduct customer and market research, maintain CRM and pipeline hygiene, prepare customer-ready materials, represent BD in customer meetings, track industry and competitive developments, and perform ad-hoc BD tasks to drive satellite commercialization efforts.

Support vehicle-level integration, launch processing, and launch campaign execution for human-rated space stations. Define vehicle configurations, develop and execute ATLO sequences, plan hardware handling and MGSE, coordinate tooling and contamination control, author procedures and work orders, support system checkouts and functional testing, and interface with launch providers and range personnel to ensure safe, compliant launch operations.
