About the role:

You will have the opportunity to:

 • Lead the development and oversight of holistic Recreation and Engagement programs that meet the diverse needs, preferences and aspirations of residents, as identified through assessment and ongoing consultation.
• Coordinate all aspects of special events, including entertainment, catering, decorations and related logistics.
• Complete comprehensive assessments, including life history, to inform and update each resident’s integrated care plan.
• Develop and maintain community partnerships that support meaningful engagement and enrich residents’ lives.
• Ensure programs reflect each resident’s needs and preferences, promoting choice, independence and meaningful engagement.
• Develop strong, collaborative relationships with team members to support high quality, person-centred care Our benefits:

We are excited to hear from you about this role! We are looking out for:
• Minimum of a Certificate IV Leisure and Health or Certificate III/IV in Individual Support with demonstrated experience in the leisure and health field
• Demonstrated experience in planning and facilitating meaningful leisure, recreation and lifestyle programs for individuals and groups
• Knowledge of best practice approaches within Recreational/Diversional therapy and aged care.
• Ability to undertake leisure-based assessments and care planning
• Practical understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and accreditation requirements
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong digital skills with the ability to use technology to document programs accurately and to support program development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families and the care team
• Understanding of ageing and dementia care, with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing
• Australian work rights
• Mandatory clearances before starting Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
