This will be a full-time contract ending December 2025 position based in the Newcastle Office, with flexibility to work from home.

As a Recovery Pathways Specialist, you will provide high-quality support and intervention to workers and employers involved in psychological injury claims caused by workplace conflict. This role focuses on collaborating with workers, employers, treatment providers and the primary case manager for up to 14 weeks. The intervention is designed to facilitate early access to treatment, mediate workplace conflicts, and support a safe and timely return to work.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Resolve workplace conflict that has resulted in psychological injury claims by using your mediation and communication skills with the relevant stakeholders
  • Facilitate early access to treatment and other required services to support the workers timely recovery and return to work
  • Collaboratively develop and action early intervention plans to achieve key objectives
  • Work effectively with Case Managers, Technical and Injury Management Specialists, and Team Leaders to support claims management
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders through video conferencing, over the phone and face to face

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience or qualifications in mediation, facilitated workplace discussions or conflict resolution
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems by taking action consistent with information and evidence gathered from different sources
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across a range of mediums
  • Ability to build productive relationships and meet stakeholder needs
