OVERVIEW

The Bars Innovation team has an opening for a Technologist role supporting innovation projects across a variety of brands including Nature Valley, Motts, and Larabar!  This role is focused on developing and commercializing new bars and spans work on the bench, pilot plant and plant scales. An ideal candidate for this role should be looking to develop their innovation skills, be comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment, enjoy working with cross functional partners, and enjoy seeing products through the entire development cycle.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design, coordinate and execute experiments from bench top to full scale manufacturing, including consumer testing; analyze experimental data and extract learning
  • Building "go-to" technical expertise in a specific area (bench top process, etc.
  • Build and leverage internal and external network (i.e. manufacturing facilities, suppliers) to support and execute work; will lead and own portions of project work
  • Participate in pipeline building activities
  • Provide broad support to a specific project and also support prototyping efforts for pipeline projects
  • Leadership of team specific projects to drive process improvements/efficiencies
  • Teach/train others
  • Connecting and collaborating within cross functional teams.
  • Creating product specifications and documentation
  • Managing analytical, shelf-life, and sensory evaluation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma + 3 years related experience or bachelor's degree
  • Willingness to travel about 10% with some travel to Canada.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous work experience in a similar field (Food product development experience/Laboratory experience)
  • Passionate around the creation of food, CPG industry, and consumer trends (both food and packaging)

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

SALARY RANGE

The salary range for this position is:

$51,300 - $70,700 Annual
