Job Description
We are looking for experienced R&D Project Manager to join our team in Hägersten.

Role Purpose:
The Project Lead is responsible for leading New Product Introduction (NPI) projects while driving large product updates and improvements across the company instrument portfolio. This role serves as the central cross‑functional coordination function between mechanical, hardware, software, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams, ensuring successful product development and launches and controlled product updates.
The ideal candidate has strong experience working across hardware and software development teams, excels in structured project execution, and is comfortable managing technical programs from concept through release.

Responsibilities
Lead NPI projects from concept, design, verification, validation, and release to production
Manage cross‑functional project teams including mechanical engineering, hardware, software, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and supply chain
Plan and execute product revisions and updates across the existing instrument portfolio
Own project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and budgets using a Waterfall project management approach
Coordinate hardware and software development timelines to ensure system-level integration
Drive design reviews, risk assessments, and change management activities
Ensure project compliance with internal development processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements
Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
Communicate project status clearly to stakeholders and leadership
Support transition from development to manufacturing, including NPI readiness and ramp-up
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience leading product development with R&D and cross-functional teams
Proven experience leading Mechanical NPI projects for complex products or instruments
Strong background working with cross‑functional hardware and software teams
Hands-on experience with hardware development and project management methodologies
Experience managing product revisions and sustaining engineering activities
Strong organizational, planning, and documentation skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
