This position reports to:
R&D Department Lead__
- Responsible for project execution with the support of project team and take responsibility for successful execution/delivery of assigned project(s) on-time, within budget, with on- quality & safety framework of ABB.
- Be part of international development projects, follow ABB gate model
- Responsible/accountable for project management (planning, scheduling, budget, scope/change, risk...)
- Report and presenting to the project Steering Committee
- Work with agile design team and follow ABB FLOW model
- Work with cross functional team members in the local and global ABB organization (product management, Product Engineering, production…) to ensure project deliverable fully meet user needs internationally and cover any geographical legal requirements.
- Work with supply chain management about the purchase order handling and EMS production
- Protect inventions following ABB intellectual property guidelines
- Establish the working relationship with global Product group and Business Unit to ensure the common process, standard is followed and improve development processes
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in new product development and active role in project execution, knowledge in the appropriate project management methods (project planning, project tracking, project cost management, risk- and opportunity analysis, project reporting, stakeholder management etc.)
- Good knowledge of all structured development process steps, from requirements analysis, technical specification, through design, implementation, testing and documentation.
- Experience of industrial products development, such as Drive, PLC, DCS, motion…
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, Target-oriented mindset
- Independence working , initiative and organizational skills
- Must have good communication skills in English both written and spoken for managing International Projects
- Willing to learn and to communicate with global team
- This job may require some travel (domestic as well as international)
- Microsoft Office skill, Microsoft project is a plus
- Experience on Lean/agile product development
- Project management certification preferred, e.g. PMI-PMP
- Experience of working collaboratively across functional boundaries and geographic locations.
- Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with protecting inventions following intellectual property guidelines.
