Quality Specialist work includes:
The Quality Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring and improving product and process quality internally and externally. The position is responsible for advance quality planning, meeting daily quality requirements, setting performance standards (ISO standards, Kardex standards, drawing requirements), root cause analysis for deviations and complaints, and continuous improvement of product and process issues. Furthermore, this position includes the implementation, maintenance and further development of the 5s standards including auditing, monitoring and reporting.
Your tasks
Internal production quality
- Plan and carry out in-process quality inspection in production
- Conduct in-process inspections on (complex) production machines and prepare reporting documents as required during manufacturing
- Evaluate information on quality-relevant data and work out corrective measures
- Issuing releases for further production or initiating production stops in coordination with Manager International Quality Assurance
- Internal quality deviations: Follow-up of corrective measures and assurance of process and product quality by means of corresponding specifications to the specialist departments
- Define product change requirements derived from internal and external complaints
- Provide support to the plant personnel and staff on daily quality issues
Advance quality planning and supplier quality
- Define and develop inspection plans for incoming goods inspections and production inspections during series production in order to ensure conformance to established quality standards and all related quality documentation requirements
- Plan and execute initial sample inspections including release procedures
- Document initial sample test reports and further quality-relevant documents
- Prepare inspection drawings for series production
- In case of deviations in the product, coordinate with suppliers on corrective measures
- Support in the introduction or relocation of new or existing products in production
Complaint management
- Process customer (Field Quality Reports) and supplier complaints, incl. data management in the ERP system
- Define, initiate and ensure corrective measures
- Evaluate information on quality-relevant data and develop measure
