Job Responsibilities:
- Tracking and analysing defect trends by product category and SKU, so issues are caught early
- Leading root-cause investigations with our Product, RMA and Operations teams, using returned units, repair data and customer feedback.
- Working with suppliers and our Product team to drive corrective actions, and follow through on design and firmware changes
- Keeping a close eye on new product launches so early issues are caught and fixed quickly.
- Sharing clear, data-backed quality updates with leadership and turn them into agreed actions.
- Building the processes and tools for a quality function that grows with the business.
- Any other adhoc activites as assigned by the Company.
Requirements
- Possesses a engineering degree - electrical, hardware, structural etc
- Experience in product quality, supplier quality or quality engineering, ideally in consumer electronics, appliances or similar hardware.
- A structured approach to problem-solving, with hands-on use of methods like 8D, 5-whys or fishbone analysis.
- Experience working with overseas manufacturers to resolve quality issues.
- Comfort with data - you can spot a real trend in a spreadsheet or dashboard and explain it simply.
- The ability to bring different teams together and get things done without formal authority.
- Curiosity about how products work and how they fail, whether the cause is hardware, firmware or batteries.
Skills Required
- Experience in product quality, supplier quality, or quality engineering, ideally in consumer electronics, appliances, or similar hardware
- Hands-on experience with 8D, 5 Whys, or fishbone root-cause analysis
- Experience working with overseas manufacturers to resolve quality issues
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends in spreadsheets or dashboards, and explain findings clearly
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver results without formal authority
- Curiosity about product failure modes involving hardware, firmware, or batteries
