Quality Lead
Continental Day Shift (7:00am-7:00pm)
Pay Rate: $21.50 / hour
Location: Milton, Ontario
Job Overview:
A Quality Lead will audit work orders against items which are running on the designated machine during your scheduled shift. Provide full support and representation of quality assurance and any other duties assigned by manager/supervisor.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Review and spot check production paperwork to ensure all materials being used are correct to the BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Monitoring and verification on the lines to ensure the quality of the products is acceptable.
- Perform testing as per sampling protocols.
- Perform and document in-process inspection as per checkpoints in the SAP system.
- Record weight, visual inspection points, functionality, and batch information as per in-process inspection points.
- Perform product testing as required.
- Complete First Off Sample process.
- Participate in nonconformities and customer complaints root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Ensure production employees are fully trained on Quality Assurance subject matter and identify training needs, supporting the quality programs.
- Perform backup duties including, but not be limited to, covering absences/vacations for other Quality positions on any shift as assigned.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Ability to read and speak English.
- Highly motivated and self-directed, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Extremely detail-oriented, analytical thinker and problem solver.
- Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Shift Requirements:
· Continental 12-hour Shifts;
· Day Shift 7:00am-7:00pm;
· Shift Rotation (7 shifts over 2-week period):
o Week 1: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Sun
o Week 2: Wed, Thurs
· Breaks: 60 minutes total.
RequirementsEducation and Training:
· High school diploma is an asset.
· Previous quality experience is an asset.
