Job summary: 
Leads the overall quality function of the organization, with a focus on achieving targeted results across both in-plant quality and incoming supplier quality within the manufacturing vertical. This role plays a pivotal part in establishing, implementing, and improving quality systems, controls, and assurance practices in a growing organization.
The position offers a strong platform to introduce industry best practices, drive quality excellence, and build a robust quality culture. The incumbent is empowered to represent the company during domestic and international customer engagements and is entrusted with strategic decision-making authority in executing quality objectives.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities


1.       Quality System Management
Lead and implement, and manage the company’s Quality Management Systems and Policies in compliance with QMS and EHS standards.

2.       Manufacturing Feasibility & Product Lifecycle Support
Lead feasibility reviews and align cross-functional teams from sample development to serial production, ensuring adherence to specifications and achieving 100% quality ratings.

3.       Quality Planning & Process Support
Define quality plans and support the production team in implementing effective checking patterns and measurement techniques. Proactively identify and resolve production impracticalities to avoid delays or quality escapes.

4.       Inspection & Documentation
Perform stage-wise and final inspections to ensure product compliance with customer requirements. Maintain detailed inspection records and documentation for traceability and audits.

5.       Calibration Control
Monitor and manage the calibration status of instruments to ensure all gages and tools are within validity and comply with quality standards.

      6     Audit & Compliance Management
            Facilitate customer audits and lead internal and supplier audits, ensuring timely closure of non-conformities and                  continual compliance with applicable standards.

7       Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
Conduct periodic reviews of quality metrics, perform data-driven analysis, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, Root Cause Analysis).

8       Training & Capability Building
Identify skill gaps and organize training programs to standardize systems, improve performance, and build technical capabilities across the team.

Team Leadership & Development
Lead and motivate the quality team to meet their deliverables while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and skill enrichment.

Education & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Diploma (Polytechnic/NTTF/GTTC) or BE/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 5–6 years of experience in Quality Control and Assurance, preferably in the Aerospace industry or other precision manufacturing environments.
  • Technical Skills:

*       Proficient in MS Office, QA software, and quality databases

*       Skilled in data analysis tools and statistical quality control techniques

  • Soft Skills:

*       Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills

*       International exposure or experience with global quality standards is an advantage

 

Preferred Certifications:

        i.            Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or ISO 9001:2015 / AS9100D Internal Auditor

       ii.            Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt / Champion) or Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen

Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) and proficiency in SPC / 7 QC Tools / RCA/ GD&T

Skills Required

  • Diploma (Polytechnic/NTTF/GTTC) or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5-6 years experience in Quality Control and Assurance in precision manufacturing
  • Experience in or exposure to the Aerospace industry (precision manufacturing)
  • Proficient in MS Office, QA software, and quality databases
  • Skilled in data analysis tools and statistical quality control techniques (SPC, 7 QC Tools)
  • Knowledge of GD&T, calibration control, inspection procedures, and traceability documentation
  • Experience facilitating customer, supplier, and internal audits (ISO 9001 / AS9100 practices) and closing non-conformities
  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or ISO 9001:2015 / AS9100D Internal Auditor
  • Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen experience
  • Strong communication, documentation, presentation, and team leadership skills
  • Experience with structured problem solving (5 Why, Fishbone, Root Cause Analysis)
  • International exposure or experience with global quality standards
